Dear Brie,

I love this picture because it totally captures you…a princess through and through.

You like everything that is girly…and nothing that isn’t.

Right now, you think being a princess is about the clothes you are wearing…

one day you will understand that you are a princess everyday – all day – no matter your attire.

You got the game Candyland for Christmas and we have had fun introducing you to your first boardgame.

When I opened it for the first time…I flashed back to over twenty years ago…when I was the little girl playing Candyland.

You love Sage and are so proud of her.

Every time we are around a new person – all you want to do is show off your sister.

I am so proud of the little girl you are becoming…compassionate, giving, smart, funny…

you make my heart smile daily…hourly…

You also crack me and your daddy up with the things you say.

You start almost every sentence with the word “because”.

It is so funny.

On Christmas Day – when I took you away from the family party to bathe you – you looked at me and said, in all seriousness, “I’m all on my own now.”

You get smarter every minute I think.

You stole my heart nearly three years ago and it is still yours.
