Out of Ideas…

Tonight, after being put to bed, Brie peeked around the corner and said, “Umm…I need to potty.”

To which I replied, “Brie, you just pottied.”

She came back with, “Umm…I need to go to bed.”

I guess she was out of ideas 🙂

In honor of this moment, here is my new favorite Brie-pic:

Oh if I could just keep her this size a little longer. Time is like sand slipping through my fingers…

Right Now…

-Sage has been napping for almost 3 hours.

-Brie is wearing a princess costume, bracelets on both wrists, and rollers in her hair. She’s playing with pretend make-up and watching a disney princess sing-a-long dvd. The girlness level is thru the roof.

-Brad is serving it up at HPC – finishing off the 2nd of 3 services today.

-I’m watching HPC online and am overwhelmed with thankfulness for our pastor… and love for our our savior.

Stole this idea from robin storch’s blog. Very cool.

did this child get this old?! I feel like I was just discharged from the hospital. Crazy…I know. I’m just trying to press pause for a minute. I think life goes even faster with 2 kids. Sage will be 4 months old this week 🙂 She’s doing great. Laughing/smiling/flirting with everyone she comes in contact with…total girl 🙂

Lock your doors…

See this sweet little girl holding this sweet little baby doll? Only problem…that baby doll isn’t ours. Watch out for this sneaky toddler. She has officially committed her first theft act.

I usually like to have an idea or a story to write about before I begin writing, but that is not the case today. I am writing because it has been 2 weeks since I posted…geez. Now almost half of that time – we were without power -so that doesn’t count against me, right?

So here I am – writing for the sake of writing –

How about an update on the fam?

Brie is awesome. She is becoming more of a little person everyday. She’s having her own thoughts, ideas, and opinions about everything – and while that can be a little more challenging…I love watching her grow. I can’t wait to see all that this girl has to offer.

Sage is great too…growing like a weed! Sometimes I wake up in the morning and could swear she’s a lot bigger than the night before. She is smiling all the time – at everyone – and this weekend she laughed out loud for the first time. Such an awesome sound.

Brad is amazing. He has worked like crazy for both hurricanes Ike and Gustav. I can’t tell you how great it is to see your man do so well. He has served and served and served. And I’m so proud of him.

And me…well I’m just me 🙂 I’m doing good. It was a crazy time being out of power for 5 days…and I’ll admit it kind of got to me emotionally but I’m good now. I’m just trying to take care of my family and be a great friend/sister/servant/listener/mom/wife etc. You know…all those woman things. I’ve always got a ton of things on my mental to-do list. Right now, I’m looking forward to the birth of my sister’s baby, the HPC womens conf, and Sage’s first Christmas. Life is good.
